The Jubb/Chapman Mystery Saga Continues...

JUBB/CHAPMAN MYSTERY
To sum up, the 'evidence' having driven me to vodka (any excuse lol)....
Ruth Howson nee Chapman was born 1881 to Joseph Chapman and Hannah Tandy, the parents having married just before her birth.
Ruth's sister, Sarah Ann Tandy, was born two years previously.
Joseph Chapman was living at Bennet Lane when he married in 1881, and JOHN CHAPMAN (File Cutter) is listed as his father who at that time was deceased.
Joseph can be followed back thru censuses, still living at Bennett Lane with mother Ruth,  along with siblings Matthew, Frederick and Ann.
Joseph was born in 1853 at 18 Forge Lane, his father listed as George Chapman (deceased).
Frederick was born at Green Street in 1839, his father listed as George Chapman.
Matthew was born at Bishop St, and has NO father listed on birth cert.
Joseph's mother, Ruth Chapman nee Jubb, died in 1880, present at death was Caroline Jubb, daughter-in-law.
Ruth Chapman nee Jubb's son, Matthew (b1844) disappears off the censuses after 1861, and metamorphoses  into Matthew Jubb, hence Caroline Jubb being described as her daughter-in-law. This is backed up by Matthew and Caroline's marriage certificate 1866 which lists JOHN JUBB (Silversmith) as his father....and he is living on Bennett Lane at the time of his marriage (same as brother Joseph and mother Ruth).
I've found a likely candidate for this John Jubb on the 1841 and 1851 censuses..along with his son, also named John (b1839).
Also, on LDS website, what I deduce is this John Jubb (b1807)'s parents are listed as Thomas and Ann (same as Ruth's parents!!).
Going back to Joseph who was born 18 Forge Lane...his grandfather, Thomas Jubb appears in a newspaper article having died in a drunken stupor at the same address in April 1853. This death is NOT on FreeBMD.
Joseph's father is listed as deceased on his BIRTH certificate, which means he must have died between January and October of 1853. But the George Chapman listed on FreeBMD in the timescale is NOT the correct George. However, a John Jubb and a John Chapman is listed in the timescale!
As you can see the Jubb/Chapman Saga continues to be a mystery....and I don't think 'phoning a friend' is gonna help!!
