Carrying on form the 'is Harriet Pitt's mother Steel or Sharp' conversation - here is the 1911 census for Harriet's sister, Ada Staley nee Pitts.
Is it pure coincidence that they have a boarder called...SHARP??
Hmmm - the plot thickens!
The 1911 census reveals that Ada Pitts had a son, John (Pitts), born before she married George Staley. She went out of town - to Denaby Main, Doncaster, for the birth.
The picture below shows John (Pitts) Staley with his half-sister, Nelly Staley.
